Feighan has been named the company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Feighan is an investor, entrepreneur and former Cuyahoga County Commissioner, Ohio House Representative, and United States Congressman. Feighan replaces long-time Chairman and CEO Roswell P. (Roz) Ellis. Mr. Ellis will continue to serve as Chairman and CEO of two subsidiaries of ProCentury, Evergreen National Indemnity Company and Continental Heritage Insurance Company. "We are extremely grateful for the leadership that Roz has dedicated to ProCentury and are also extremely pleased that he will continue to be involved as a Board member," said Michael C. Schuler, a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of ProCentury. "Edward's background and experience make him an ideal replacement for Roz." ProCentury is the holding company for specialty property/casualty insurance companies, and recently relocated its headquarters to Cleveland Avenue North near Polaris Parkway in Northeast Columbus, Ohio. Feighan has been a Board member of ProCentury since it was founded in 2000, and has been involved with ProCentury's insurance subsidiaries in various capacities including serving as a Board member since 1993. He most recently served as the Managing Partner of Alliance Financial, Ltd., an Ohio-based boutique merchant banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions. From November 1996 to December 1997, Feighan served as the founding President, CEO and Director of Century Business Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBIZ). He served as a State Representative for six years, a Cuyahoga County Commissioner for four years and a Member of the United States House of Representatives for ten years. Congressman Feighan has been recognized as a leading authority on foreign policy and international trade and finance. Throughout his tenure in Congress, Congressman Feighan served on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In 1979, Congressman Feighan received a Presidential Appointment and Commission from President Jimmy Carter to serve on the National Advisory Council on Economic Opportunity. Since departing Congress in 1993, Congressman Feighan has served as a member of the Commission on Privatization in Russia; the U.S. Commission for Improving the United Nations; the Board of Trustees of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs; the National Council of International Programs; and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Congressman Feighan earned a law degree from Cleveland State University in 1978 after completing his undergraduate studies at Borromeo Catholic Seminary, Cleveland, Ohio, and Loyola University, New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the father of four children.
