Edward F. Feighan has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Century Surety Company since October of 2003. He also serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ProCentury Corporation, the parent company of Century Surety Company.

Prior to joining Century, Mr. Feighan was Managing Partner of Alliance Financial Ltd., a merchant banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, from 1998 until 2003. In addition, he served as President of Avalon Corporation, the holding company for a workers’ compensation insurance agency from 1998 until 2000. From 1996 to 1997, Mr. Feighan was President and CEO of Century Business Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBIZ), an outsourced professional business services provider.

Mr. Feighan served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1973 to 1978, Cuyahoga County Commissioner from 1979 to 1982, and a member of the United States House of Representatives from Ohio from 1983 to 1993. In 1979 he received a Presidential Appointment and Commission from President Jimmy Carter to serve on the National Advisory on Economic Opportunity

Mr. Feighan holds a J.D. from the Cleveland College of Law and an undergraduate degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Christopher J. Timm has been President and Chief Operating Officer of Century Surety Company since 2003, and has served as Executive Vice President and Director since 2000. Mr. Timm also serves as Executive Vice President and Secretary of ProCentury Corporation, the parent company of Century Surety Company.

Prior to joining Century, Mr. Timm founded the Environmental & Commercial Insurance Agency where he served as President from 1991 through 1998. During his time at Environmental & Commercial, Mr. Timm created several of the underwriting strategies and policy forms that are in general use throughout the environmental insurance industry today. From 1984 to 1991, he served as President of Associate Risk Managers of Ohio. Mr. Timm began his career with the Lansing B. Warner division of Wausau Insurance Companies, where he remained until 1985.

Mr. Timm holds a B.S. in Biology from Loyola University of Chicago.

Erin West has served as the CFO of Century Surety Company since 2004, and has been responsible for the overall financial functions of the subsidiary including planning and analysis, external reporting, regulatory requirements and accounting and financial processes. Ms. West also serves as the Chief Financial Officer of ProCentury Corporation, the parent company of Century Surety Company.

Prior to joining the company in 2001, Ms. West worked for KPMG LLP. She is a certified public accountant, and holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting with an emphasis on Finance from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.

Greg Ewald joined the company in 2000 and serves as the company’s Senior Vice President of Underwriting. His responsibilities include broad management of the company’s underwriting, distribution and operations functions.

Prior to joining Century, Mr. Ewald was Senior Vice President of Underwriting at Acceptance Insurance Company. He has also worked for Underwriters Re-Insurance Company and Travelers Insurance Company. Mr. Ewald holds a B.S. in Economics and History from Illinois State University.

James Flood serves as Senior Vice President of Operations, and joined the company as Senior Vice President of Claims in 2003.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Flood worked as a Group Vice President and Chief Claims Officer for CNA. He also worked as a Senior Vice President of Corporate Claims for Continental Insurance Company, and as Managing Trial Attorney for Buckeye Union Insurance Company.

James holds a J.D., cum laude from Capital University School of Law, and a B.A. from Ohio State University. Mr. Flood was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1977.

Nathan Voorhis joined the company in 2003 and serves as the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary. His responsibilities include the management of the company’s actuarial and IT departments.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Voorhis was an actuary at Nationwide Insurance. He has also worked for Demotech, Inc., Milliman USA and Transatlantic Reinsurance, in management, reserving and pricing roles. Mr. Voorhis holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Education and a M.S. in Applied Mathematics. He has been a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 1997 and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society since 2000.

Steve Young joined the company in 2002 and serves as the company’s Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Young's responsibilities include investment policy and strategy, treasury management, asset allocation, and regulatory investment compliance.

Prior to joining Century Surety Company in 2002, Mr. Young was a principal with Stonehenge Partners, a private equity and investment banking firm that helped fund the acquisition of the company on 2000. In addition, he was employed as a director at Banc One Capital Corporation and worked as an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Young earned a B.S. in accounting from The Ohio State University, an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a CPA (inactive status).
